Appreciating and Learning From the Parts of Yourself You Don't Like

When you're trying to improve yourself, it's easy to fall into the trap of demonizing the traits, thoughts, or behaviors you're trying to change. Yet, they probably represent the efforts of the primitive parts of your brain to help you feel better in some way.
